2022 Masters Water Ski Criteria

 

There will be a maximum of eight (8) competitors in each discipline. Athletes will qualify for invitation according to the following criteria, in the order listed below, until eight positions are filled. Upon qualifying for an invitation, an athlete may continue to compete in MQS Series events, but for score only, and not for placement for the purposes of Masters Qualification.

 

  1. Defending Open Men and Open Women Champions of the 2021 Masters in slalom, trick and jump.

 

  • Men’s Slalom: Freddie Winter
  • Women’s Slalom: Jaimee Bull
  • Men’s Trick: Pato Font
  • Women’s Trick: Anna Gay
  • Men’s Jump: Freddy Krueger
  • Women’s Jump: Hanna Straltsova

 

  1. 2021 Men and Women’s World Champions in slalom, trick and jump

 

  • Men’s Slalom: Nate Smith
  • Women’s Slalom: Jaimee Bull
  • Men’s Trick: Dorien Llewellyn
  • Women’s Trick: Anna Gay
  • Men’s Jump: Ryan Dodd
  • Women’s Jump: Jacinta Carroll

 

  1. 2022 Moomba Masters International Invitational Champions (*provided said champion meets or exceeds the following benchmark scores)

 

  • Men’s Slalom: 4.25 @ 10.25 meters
  • Women’s Slalom: 5.50 @ 10.75 meters
  • Men’s Trick: 11,595 points
  • Women’s Trick: 9,450 points
  • Men’s Jump: 69.00 meters
  • Women’s Jump: 53.40 meters

 

  1. The first and second place finishers with the single highest score of multi round Masters Qualifying Series Event #1 held May 6th -8th, 2022 at Pickos Ski School in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida.

 

  1. The first and second place finishers with the single highest score of multi round Masters Qualifying Series Event #2 held May 13th – 15th, 2022 at Drew Ross Ski Academy in Orlando, Florida.

 

  1. The first-place finisher with the single highest score of multi round Masters Qualifying Series Event #3 held May 20th – 22nd, 2022 at Jack Travers’ International Tournament Skiing in Groveland, Florida.

 

  1. If positions are still available, the second-place finisher with the single highest score of multi round Masters Qualifying Series Event #3 held May 20th – 22nd, 2022 at Jack Travers’ International Tournament Skiing in Groveland, Florida.

 

  1. If positions are still available, the third-place finisher with the single highest score from Masters Qualifying Series Event #3 held May 20th – 22nd, 2022 at Jack Travers’ International Tournament Skiing in Groveland, Florida.

 

 

**In order to be eligible to compete at a Masters Qualifying Series Event, open skiers must meet the following minimum scores achieved at a Class R or L tournament during the 2021 tournament ski season with a closing end date of December 31st, 2021.

 

  • Men’s Slalom: 3 @ 10.25 meters
  • Women’s Slalom: 2 @ 10.75 meters
  • Men’s Trick: 10,900 points
  • Women’s Trick: 7,000 points
  • Men’s Jump: 64.40 meters
  • Women’s Jump: 48.30 meters
